The Costanza

The Costanza is my blog for school. I’m a journalism student at Whitireia in Wellington, New Zealand.

The name of the blog and the ‘catchphrase’ are incorporating my favourite Seinfeld character (George Costanza) and each blog has a quote from him or a quote from a politician or a musician.

My blog is about politics and it’s relation to music. Here are a few of the things I will blog about.

• Piracy in music.
• How downloading is affecting the music industry.
• How government funding is affecting the music industry here and abroad.
• Whether or not a change in government has affected the music industry in any way.
• How the state of the economy affects music sales
• Major record shops in wellington.
• Managers/owners of those shops.
• Government ministers involved in making decisions within this industry.
• The Act which pertains to copyright law in NZ.
